Coffee Variety: Laos Arabica DP
The Boloven Plateau has long been recognized for its ideal growing conditions for quality coffee. In the 1920s, French settlers started cultivating Arabica coffee in the region taking advantage of its high altitude, mineral-rich soils, cool temperature and abundant rainfall.
The Laos Arabica DP (double picked) is grown and processed by Outspan Boloven Laos. The plantation was established in 2009. The ripest cherries are picked and processed to bring out their best characteristics. All cherries are processed in the state of the art Wet-Mill which has more than 10000 M2 of Drying Yard, 3000 M2+ of Greenhouse and latest machinery from Colombia and Brazil. Expertise has been developed in various processing techniques some of which include- Anaerobic Naturals, Shade dried fully-Washed, Yellow Honey, Semi-Washed, Yeast fermentation, Wet-hulled, fully-washed, Aerobic Naturals.
